Hey Everyone.
I am so happy to be sharing with you all some photos of my recent fundraising project. On April 30th my cousin Derek and I embarked on a cross Canada cycling trip from Port Hardy, British Columbia to St. John’s, Newfoundland. A really big undertaking I know. I decided to dedicate our trip to 2 friends, neighbours, amazing people who were affected greatly by brain tumours. My friend Bob Vangoethem passed away last summer from a tumour and Mrs. John McFeggan is a current survivor and 10 year fighter. Derek and I have managed to raise over $10 000 for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada as well as so much awareness for this society. Being the photographer that I am, my DSLR Canon 5D Mark II had to ride along in my saddle bag and capture this wondrous country we call home. I really soaked up the people, the places, celebrations, and natural landscape peddle by peddle and have posted some photos here to give you a glimpse. The trip went very well, and are back home now and adjusting and settling back into our regular lives.
Also August 23-27 (12-5pm) my friend Sean and I will be holding an exhibition and sale at The Arts Project in London, Ontario (203 Dundas Street) showcasing our work from two very different areas we have traveled. The exhibit is called “Two Worlds: Streets of Europe vs Bush of South Africa” and will feature various photographs we have taken in these two amazing locations. It would be great to see you out! Cheers
Wow, what beautiful pictures Andrea! I think you could frame all of them!!! Very nice variety to post as I am sure you have hundreds +. I like the one especially of you jumping on the hay mound and the reflections in the water, awesome!!!
Very nice photographic work Andrea, very inspiring.
It was a pleasure to meet you two on your epic journey across this great land of ours!
I’m sure your work on fundraising & awareness about brain tumour research will live on for quite a while.
I will not forget, even if it was for a brief period.
Rock on!
Beautiful photo’s Andrea. I want to eat and swim at that pic-nic table spot. It looks so tranquil…..
Glad to hear you made it home safely. It was a pleasure having the two of you stay with us in Winnipeg (or should we say Windy-peg after the tornado winds you had to battle to get here). Throughout our lives we meet many people but only a few inspire us and make us feel good about who we are. Those people become our hero’s and live on in our memories. You two accomplished great things and will remain hero’s of mine for many years to come.
Take care and hopefully we get another chance to meet someday.
Tom
PS: I”ll be watching for the book release of your photos…….

Great pictures Andrea. How are things going with the two of you. Are you settling into everyday life or is their another adventure on the horizon? I’d love to here how the two of you are doing. Again, thanks for the memories and take care..
