Bavarian Blue – Summer 2015

So I know I have not posted anything for a while and I apologize for that. Summer, very nice weather, and lots of work, means my picture editing and blog posting gets pushed back. But as it is only 5 degrees Celsius and rainy today in Munich I thought I would post some images from this past Summer and all the sun and heat it brought with it. I was soooo happy to be able to wear cotton dresses all of June, July and August this year. My inner bohemian fashion wishes were fulfilled!  Summer without the heat and sun is just not Summer! The many Müncheners took advantage of the beautiful weather and practically lived at the river, crowding it from the North to the South of the city. The fresh water that flows from the Alps up into Munich in the Isar River is always cool and refreshing, even when the weather is 35 degrees Celsius in the city centre. I also took advantage of this heat and jumped in many times after work. When you live so far from the ocean, this is really the next best thing! And when the river just does not cut it, there is always the mountains. Crisp clean air and many lakes await you in beautiful Bavaria. Below you will see images taken throughout the city of Munich, along the Isar River, a few from the Starnbergersee, a hike from the Tegernsee to Schliersee, and another hike to the Neureutheralm.

Thank you Summer. I miss you already :)

Ps. I big shout out to my Canadian friend Laura for the visit in June. I think we chatted for 7 days straight! I felt like I was 16 again!

My approach to photography is simple and pure. I use only natural light to create an image; and work hard to develop an artistic photo, whether it be for a client or as a self project. I do not care about staging shots, excessive make up, and set ups. I capture what is there, with love for that special moment. With an advanced diploma in photography from Canada, I choose to follow my dream to work as a freelance photographer. With over 10 years in experience, I can capture your special moments, smiling faces, products or food in a simplistic, colourful and uncomplicated way. I photograph with my heart and believe in sustainability, conscious consumption and responsibility. When you book a photography session, purchase an image, or participate in a workshop or retreat, you are supporting social organizations and projects. I run my small business on green electricity, all print material is climate-neutral and supports other charitable projects for people and the environment. This is a very important concept for me to follow. Every daily decision and choice we make, has the potential to create a cleaner and happier community and world. If you are interested in purchasing fine art photographs or my cookbook, hoping to have images taken or just want to connect, I am happy to make a new friend.
