Birds, Buds & Barns – April 2013

As some of you know, I took a spontaneous trip home to Ontario, Canada to visit my family for 2 weeks. It was great to be back home to visit, although it always goes by to quick. One morning when I couldn’t sleep ( yes that was your fault jetlag) I traced around my Uncle’s yard in the puddles until I came up with this. A reflection of his beautiful old red barn and silo. I love this shot!  This photo as well as 6 others are currently on display and the Crazy 8 Barn in Palmayra, Ontario (https://www.facebook.com/Crazy8Barn?fref=ts).  This is a newly built beautiful restored octagonal barn/cafe/gift shop and landscape business by Sue Wilkins. I urge you all to check it out. I believe it’s grand opening is this weekend.

I also had the chance to check up on some of my photos in the Mary Web Center ( http://www.marywebcentre.ca) and was astonished at the creative items and artwork now available there for sale by local artists and artisans.  Stop by and check it out when you can. You will find about 8 of my images there for sale as well. Below is my barn image titled “Morning Reflection” as well as a few of my favourite springtime buds, birds, blossoms.

My approach to photography is simple and pure. I use only natural light to create an image; and work hard to develop an artistic photo, whether it be for a client or as a self project. I do not care about staging shots, excessive make up, and set ups. I capture what is there, with love for that special moment. With an advanced diploma in photography from Canada, I choose to follow my dream to work as a freelance photographer. With over 10 years in experience, I can capture your special moments, smiling faces, products or food in a simplistic, colourful and uncomplicated way. I photograph with my heart and believe in sustainability, conscious consumption and responsibility. When you book a photography session, purchase an image, or participate in a workshop or retreat, you are supporting social organizations and projects. I run my small business on green electricity, all print material is climate-neutral and supports other charitable projects for people and the environment. This is a very important concept for me to follow. Every daily decision and choice we make, has the potential to create a cleaner and happier community and world. If you are interested in purchasing fine art photographs or my cookbook, hoping to have images taken or just want to connect, I am happy to make a new friend.
