Chamonix, France – March 2016

Hello All,

Have you ever been to a place and felt completely comfortable and at home? Well that is how I feel when I travel to the small village of Le Tour. A small place just north of the popular, beautiful city of Chamonix. I had the privilege of staying there for a week with some friends in early March to ski, hike and enjoy the snow and fresh air. I was so happy to see all the snow that had fallen this year. I just love snow! We ate a lot of cheese and baguette under the sunny skies in Savoie. I am glad to say I returned without any broken bones or torn muscles and a better skier. ( Although not even close to the Alpine standard everyone else seems to live by. Can you tell I come from a very flat Ontario town ?)

Below you will see many images of beautiful french chalets, mountain peeks, and our snowy adventures. This includes the views from the Aiguille du Midi ( 3842m ! ) Les Grands Montets, the towns of Argentiére, Le Tour and Chamonix and of course the famous Mont Blanc, Europe’s tallest mountain at 4810m. Thanks guys for making yet another week in the French Alps a great one. I really hope it will not be our last :(
